Hoshovsky_Brand Identity/Cover

Hey guys, here is my Cover Idea, along with the Branded Identity Package.

  1. Pavlo - I like seeing where you are going with this. Some thoughts: Have you tried all caps for the word "PRINTING"? This might allow it to sit more comfortably below that line with more contiguous negative space about it. The image shows the machine, which is a straightforward concept and makes sense for a B2B company. I wonder if you can allow a part of it to show the 4 process colors? Since almost all the projects that go onto this press will be in full color, a b/w image isn't representative of the process. But - adding color (colorizing) to just a section of the image (the part to which you want to pull our eyes)would be a clever idea. Photoshop will help you accomplish this.

Lastly - the identity items. I don't believe that putting the logo behind the type in the business card is a good idea. It hides it too much. I suggest you find a color in your color palette to use for your logo, and then place the other information in and around that logo. Think about the shapes of your logo and the shape of the name/contact information. Place them in such a way as to establish a relationship between them rather than just hugging the edges of the card. This way of approaching how to use this logo will also help you in the envelope and letterhead as well. Please add the address to the letterhead.

    You are getting there!

This is coming along nicely. Also applaud you for being the first to post this week :D I like the changes you've made to the logo, but I feel that the word "continuous" shouldn't be touching the line completely. I think it might need some space. I really like the photo you've chosen and paired with the text from your logo it has that vintage feel to it. Very nice. I agree with Coni that there shouldn't be the logo behind the text on the business card. It's too busy and hard to read. I think the different color would work, and making it just barely showing through to the page.

  3. I like that you kept the letterhead simple, and the signature is a nice touch. I'm not so sure about the choice of font, though. I like it in the "Print" part of the logo, but as reading text it looks a bit big and blocky. As in the business card, I would scale it down a bit so that it doesn't reach from one side to the other.
