Nicole_Envelope, Business Card & Letterhead

Hi all, here are m business card, envelope and letterhead designs using my logo and information. I had to change the color of my logo on the business card so let me know how the white looks with those two colors so I can really tell if they logo is "color change friendly". For some reason when I uploaded the business card, something goes wrong with the color of it when you click on it. The colors are a muted green and a blue turquois/teal color. I also had to change the orientation of the logo on the envelope, feedback would be great because I wasn't sure if that would be breaking some sort of branding rule.

Great so far! For me, I'm not sure if I like the squeegee in the white color. Maybe the business card should just be on a white background. I feel like so much of the color gray tends to mute everything down. I really like how you changed the orientation of the logo to the side for the envelope, nice touch! Subtle change but nothing that makes it too inconsistent with the rest. For the letterhead, I'm not sure if it is just because it's small, but I feel like the word "squeegee" looks like it's getting squished. Maybe it needs a little more space from the graphic so we can see it clearer.

  2. I think everything looks pretty good, the only thing that I would change would be to take out the labels for the phone number, website and email address. I think it's a little unnecessary and it makes it feel a little cluttered.

  3. Nichole: This is coming along! Some thoughts:

Logo: I feel like the heavy handle of the icon (top part) is overwhelming the design, just a bit. And maybe that isn’t a problem, because the type looks a bit squished in its elongated short proportions. I wonder what others think about this. But my eyes keep moving up to it, especially when it is white against the grey background. The return address on envelope has changed the orientation of the icon to the type… and I like it… BUT, it IS more clever stacked (logos placed to the side of typography is ubiquitous). So… I am not suggesting you pull apart the stack. Hmmm… maybe you could lighten up that squeegee but shifting colors – lightening up the colors more on the squeegie. Keep thinking… I don’t have the answer for you but I encourage you to continue thinking about this logo.

Business Card: Do you have 2 competing focal points? Both Logo and upper left area (with drop shadow) holding the name are fighting for attention at same level. Is there a way to combine these 2 separate, strong elements, to create a single even stronger element? I also question that mid tone grey in the background. Do you need it? Is it creating a lack of contrast with the type? Sebastian is correct: you do not need “Phone:” or “Website:” or “Email” because these days we all recognize what those items are.

Letterhead: nice arrangement left and right with green line below. I think this is straightforward and successful. Look at this when you are reconsidering where to go with the business card.

Envelope: Drop the phone #, it isn’t used here. Nice reconfiguration of the logo for small uses.

    Almost there.
