Nicole_Finalizing Brochure
Hello all, I'm just tying up some lose ends with my brochure so I wanted to get some opinions. My cover only has my name and logo on it, to me it looks a little plain, any suggestions as to what I could add? I wanted it to look simple on the front so the whole brochure wasn't filled and busy, but now its starting to look different than I was hoping. Let me know what you think!

An idea to make you front more interesting and appealing; I would suggest having the drip mark running all the way down, or at least to the center of the page. Or even just add a image of "water on glass texture" (maybe an image of water streaks), something along those lines.

ReplyDeletePutting the images behind the blue papers was a good idea. It adds to the dimensionality and gives it a stronger layering feel. The only thing I would add is an indent for the first paragraph on the "What We Do" section.
ReplyDeleteNichole: So here are some ideas for the cover:
ReplyDelete1. Add a thick white outline around the entire logo so that you can move the logo down on the page (and it will sit on top of the teal color without disappearing). This will allow you some options in terms of placement on the page and the size of it – maybe enlarging it a bit on the front?
2. Pavlo has an interesting idea in terms of allowing the drips in the logo to travel down the page.
3. Add a phrase to the cover that might read “Screen Printing at its BEST!” and place it on the cover in a cascading manner (as you have done elsewhere).
Also – DO NOT indent your first paragraph on the middle inside panel. That is actually not “proper”. The first paragraph is never supposed to be indented, only following paragraphs receive an indent. Instead, you might look at the amount of negative space under that headline and increase it a bit if you want.
Looking good!
Nicole, I have the same idea than Coni when I saw your front cover. the first opinion was the green part changed to white and you put the logo in the bottom with a headline. but if you want this layout , you can change the color of the rectangle above the Company name to white since company logo can have multiple variants.
ReplyDeleteInside - 1st and 3rd panel: the picture can fill the white space completely.
