Eleni-Rotogravure Printing Logo Design

After research, I learned that rotogravure printing is an expensive, time-consuming process and they mainly print for packaging of high-end products. Thus, my audience will be targeted towards high-end companies or producers of high-quality products. I've learned that large companies tend to use this printing process, such as tobacco industries, for their packaging so I'm gearing it towards these types of big industries. There are not many of these rotogravure printing companies in the U.S. which is another reason it is one of the more expensive processes. For these reasons, I wanted to come up with a simple and contemporary logo that represented this process as well.

Here are some of my rough drawings of my brainstorming for a logo:

After playing around with some of these, I came to like this one as a possible final logo:
Since the process of rotogravure printing is based around a cylinder, I wanted to include this shape into the logo. There is also a point in the process where 2 cylinders rotate against each other to emboss into the paper, which is what I tried to portray here. Since the cylinder is a circular shape, I used typeface "Bauhaus" because it has a circular shape to it as well, though I edited the corners of the letters to be a bit more rounded. I decided to narrow down the name to Roto (rotogravure).

Let me know what you guys think!
