My process is screen printing. Since it is such a wide variety of material that you can print on in this process, my audience will be a spectrum of people looking for apparel printing. I work at an apparel printing screen printing company, so I felt like they could be a great reference as well as competitor. Anyone can possibly need apparel printed, so I do have a wide audience, but when you get into this business, the amount of different types of contracts you have, the better. I will be based out of Boston, accepting anywhere from schools, big and small businesses and normal people that need small jobs done for an event or family.
I chose the name "Squeegee Screen Printing" because this is the only process that uses what is called a squeegee to apply the ink to the material, whether it be fabric, plastic, etc. I came up with some basic logo designs that mostly have to do with the look of a squeegee pulling ink across a surface. I also thought of the idea of using a font that had "pain drips" coming off of it because a squeegee and ink go hand in hand for this process. I strayed away from more simple designs because although this process is done by professionals, I wanted to give it a fun look because it can be a pretty fun process to learn.
