Sebastian Wan Logo Shields

Here are the other shield-type logos that I was playing around with, the ones I was going to show yesterday and the one I made yesterday. The gray background is just there to show transparency for some of the ideas. Let me know what you think.

Thanks

  1. Sebastian – these are moving forward, nicely. I really don’t think you need a frame (stroke), and the icon becomes more contemporary without one. So – it’s all about the relationship of the outer and inner shapes to each other. I’m not sure the icon is as interesting as it could be – so continue to experiment with those 3 shapes and enlarge/reduce them. Another thing to consider is allowing the negative space around the icon to enter into the icon (which means the tree needs to actually overlap/touch the edge of the outer shape. Color: I encourage you to think of a medium-dark color that would be serious in its intent. The brown looks too dark, too muddy – and the blue might be too lively. So – something in the middle?

Nice work – keep it going and please post again this week to get some feedback on your written design brief.
